Fire Access Roadwa s, Fire apparatus access roadways shall be provided to within 150 feet of all por- tions of an exterior dispensing or use area. Such access roadways shal] comply with the provisions of Section lo.lo~. B. Water Su,pp1,~. An approved water supply shall be provided. Fire hydrants ar other approved means capable of supplying the required fire flow shall be provided to w~th~n 150 feet of all portions of an exterior dispensing or use area. The water supply and fire hydrants shall comply with the provisions of Section 10.301. 7. Protection from vehicles. Guard posts ar other means shall be,pravided to protect exterior dispensing or use areas from vehicular damage. When guard posts are installed, the posts shall be in accordance with the provisions of Section 80.301~w}. 8. S ecial Re uirements for Hi hl Toxic Com ressed Gases. A. Gas Cabinets or Local Exhaust. When cylinders yr portable containers are used out-of-doors, gas cabinets or a locally exhausted enclosure shall be provided. When gas cabinets are provided, the installation shall be in accordance with the provisions of Section 80.303~a}fi.B. The required treatment system shall be designed in accord- ance with the provisions of Section. 80.303~a}fi.D, B. Exhaust S stems, Exhaust systems far gas cabinets or locally exhausted enclosures shall be designed to handle the accidental release of gas . Such exhaust sys - tems shall be capable of diluting, adsorbing, absorbing, neutralizing, burning or otherwise processing the entire contents of the largest single tank or cylinder of gas in use. Systems for such processing shall be designed as a treatment system in accordance with the provisions of Sec- tion $0.303~a}fi.D. C. Gas Detection. Gas detection shall be provided in gas cabinets and exhausted enclosures in accordance with the provisions of Section 80.303~a}9. Activation of the monitoring system shall automatically close the shut- off valve on highly toxic or toxic gas supply lines re- lated to the system being monitored. EXCEPTION: Automatic shutdown need not be provided for reactors utilized for the production of toxic or highly toxic gases when such reactors are: 1. Operated at pressures less than 15 psig. 2, Constantly attended. 3. Provided with readily accessible shutoff valves. Ordinance - 70
