<br />NOTICE OF INTENDED RULEMAKING <br /> <br />ADOPTION OF PROPOSED EUGENE TECHNICAL CODES ADMINISTRATIVE <br />RULE R-8.010TC <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the authority contained in <br />Sections 2.019 and 8.010 of the Eugene Code, 1971, Micheal D. Gleason, City Manager <br />of the City of Eugene, intends to adopt as a permanent rule the Proposed Eugene <br />Technical Codes Administrative Rule R-8.010TC adopted by the City Manager on <br />October It 1993, which: <br /> <br />Adopts the State of Oregon 1993 Edition Structural Specialty <br />Code, including Appendix Chapter 38 and Appendix Chapter 70, as the <br />Eugene Structural Specialty Code; adopts the State of Oregon 1992 <br />Edition Mechanical Specialty Code as the Eugene Mechanical Specialty <br />Code; adopts the State of Oregon 1992 Edition Plumbing Specialty Code <br />as the Eugene Plumbing Specialty Code; adopts the 1988 Edition <br />Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code as published by the <br />International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, as the <br />Eugene Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code; and provides for the <br />manner in which conflicts between rules are resolved. <br /> <br />Adoption of the Proposed Eugene Technical Codes Administrative Rule R- <br />8.010TC, is necessary for the preservation of the safety and welfare of the public, and <br />the Proposed Rule may be reviewed at the office of Building Official, Planning & <br />Development Department, Building & Permit Services Division, 244 East Broadway, <br />Eugene, Oregon 97401, during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday <br />through Friday, excluding holidays). <br /> <br />All persons wishing to comment thereon or object thereto must submit their <br />written comments or objections to the Building Official, Planning & Development <br />Department, Building & Permit Services Division, 244 East Broadway, Eugene, Oregon <br />97401, within fifteen (15) days of the date of the first publication hereof, as indicated <br />below. The City Manager will thereafter adopt the Proposed Uniform Technical <br />Codes Administrative Rule R-8.01OTC, as proposed, or as modified in response to <br />comments or objections received, as a Permanent Rule. <br /> <br />MICHEAL D.
