<br />ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER <br />of the <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br /> <br />Section 5.540 of the Eugene Code, 1971 requires that parking <br /> <br />facilities have notice of parking restrictions posted before <br /> <br />citing or towing unauthorized vehicles therefrom, and establishes <br /> <br />standards therefor. <br /> <br />Under Subsection (2) of that Section, the City Manager, <br /> <br />or the Manager's designee, is directed to prescribe standard <br /> <br />signs containing wording that meets the requirements imposed <br /> <br />therein. <br /> <br />Section 5.540 further provides, in Subsection (3), <br /> <br />that the City Manager or the Manager's designee may approve <br /> <br />size and lettering modifications to the approved standard signs. <br /> <br />The City's Police Department will be primarily responsible <br /> <br />for enforcement of the signing regulations and should therefore <br /> <br />be designated to develop the standards and procedures for vari- <br /> <br />ances therefrom. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />Based upon the above findings, and pursuant to the authority <br /> <br />contained in Section 5.540 of the Eugene Code, 1971, as City <br /> <br />Manager of the City of Eugene, Oregon, <br /> <br />IT IS HEREBY ORDERED: <br /> <br />1. The Police Chief of the City of Eugene is hereby directed, <br /> <br />as my des ignee, to prescr ibe standard signs wi th wording that <br /> <br />meets the requirements of Subsection (1) of Section 5.5413 of <br /> <br />the Eugene Code, 1971 for signs required to be posted upon parking <br /> <br />1 <br />
