In lieu of de- <br />tailed specifications, the building official may approve <br />references on the plans to a specifis section or part of <br />this structural specialty code or to other ordinances or <br />laws. Computations, stress diagrams, and other data suf- <br />ficient to show the correctness of the plans shall be sub- <br />mitted when reguired by the building official. Plans for <br />the buildings more khan twa stories in height of other <br />than Croups R--3 and M Occupancies shall indicate how re- <br />quired structural and fire--resistive integrity will be <br />maintained where a penetration will be made for elec- <br />trical, mechanical, plumbing, and communication conduits, <br />pipes and similar systems. <br />(4) The present subsection (.4) is renumbered (5~. <br />(5) The present subsection ~5~ a,s renumbered (6) and amended <br />to provide: <br />~6 } Section 303 ~b}. - Plan Checkin Fees, second <br />paragraph is amended t~ read: <br />Flan checking fees for buildings of Groups A, E, I, H, B <br />and R Division one Qccupancies shall be 65 percent of the build- <br />ing permit fees as set by resolution of the council. Plan check- <br />ing fees far Groups M and R Division Three Qccupancies shall be <br />500 of the established building permit fee. <br />(6) The present subsections (.6~ , (7) , (8~ , (9) , (101 , and (11) <br />are hereby renumbered (7) , (9 ~ , (10) , (11) , (12) , and (13 ) respective- <br />ly, and a new subsection ~8} is hereby added, to provide: <br />~S} Section 304 ~c} is amended to read: <br />c} Ap ~rav~ls~ ~re ~ ~uired. No work shall be done on <br />any part of the building or structure beyond the point <br />indicated in each successive inspection without first ob- <br />taining the written approval of the building official. <br />Such written approval shall be given only after an in- <br />spection shall have been made of each successive step in <br />the construction as indicated by each of the inspections <br />required in subsection ~d}, provided, however, that the <br />building official may withhold his approval a,f he has <br />probable cause to believe that any provision of the <br />Eugene Code, l9?1 is being violated in connection with <br />the project of which the work being performed a.s a part. <br />There shah. be a final inspection and approval on <br />all buildings when completed and ready for occupancy. <br />Section 4.
