Tt does not necessarily pro- <br />vide far future expansion or installation of addi- <br />tional electrical appliances or equipment. Any <br />changes in this equipment should be made only after <br />consultation with a qualified person A permit is <br />required for any electrical work. Do not remove <br />this label." <br />The electrical inspector shill s.~gn and date this label. <br />Section 7. Section 8.14 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended to provide: <br />5.110 Temporary_Use of Electrical Current. when an urgent <br />necessity for the use of electrical energy in an elec- <br />trical installation is known to exist, the electrical inspector <br />may grant permission for the temporary use of electrical energy <br />to any electrical,installation~ which is in such condition that <br />electrical energy may safe~.y be used therein without danger to <br />life or property. Permission may be obtained for the temporary <br />use of electrical energy during the construction or alteration <br />of any building by making a prior written request to the build-~ <br />ing official or~his designee.. The written request shall: <br />~,a~ Indicate the approximate length of time far <br />which electrical current is needed, <br />~.b~ Include a statement that compliance with <br />section S.laS will be assured prior to occupancy of <br />the building, and <br />~c~ ~e endorsed ~y the person doing the work and <br />by the person in charge of the property as defined in <br />this Chapter. <br />Section 8. Section 8.124 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended to provide: <br />8.120 Cit Not Ziable For Dama es. This code shall not be <br />construed to relieve or lessen the responsibility of <br />any person owning, operating or insta~,ling any electrical in- <br />stallation for. damages to anyone injured by any defect there- <br />in, nor shall the city or any agent thereof be held to assume <br />any such liability by~reason of inspection authorized herein <br />or the certificate of inspection issued by the electrical <br />inspector. <br />Section 9. Section 8.125 0~ the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended to provide: <br />ordinance -- 3 <br />
