187'2 <br />Section 2. Section .3.005 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended by deleting therefrom the de~'.~n~ton of '~~asonry Contractor". <br />Section 3. Section 3.01,0 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended by deleting therefrom the listing of Masonry Contractor, <br />Foreman; Nate 6; and references to Note 6. <br />Section 4. Section 3.283 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended to provide: <br />3.283 Gas Classification _ ~uildin Official Approval. <br />~l~ The approval of the building official shall be ob- <br />tained prior to a license being issued to a person desiring to <br />engage in the business of appliance sales and/or soliciting, <br />accepting, or repairing of any gas piping system, gas burner <br />or gas burning equipment. <br />~2~ The building official shall test and qualify all <br />applicants far gas piping or venting licenses. The examinations <br />shall be designed to .determine a license applicant's knowledge <br />of the standards for safe and satisfactory installation, the <br />use of gas burning equipment, flues, vents, and piping systems, <br />and competency to perform such installations. The building <br />official shall prepare written and oral examinations to deter- <br />mine the qualifications .and competency of all persons making <br />applications for a gas fitter's license and vent pipe installer, <br />and shall adopt rules and regulations pertaining to the ,giving <br />of the examinations. The examination papers shall be filed as <br />official records of the building division. <br />~~3~ A state LPG fitter's license shall be a prerequis- <br />ite far a f fitter performing work on any part of a liquefied <br />petroleum gas fuel system or an appliance using liquefied pet- <br />roleum gas. <br />Section 5. Sections 8.005, 8.007, and 5.008 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, are hereby amended by renumbering the same 8.001, 8.002 and <br />8.003 respectively. <br />Section 6. Anew section 8.004 is hereby added to the Eugene <br />Code, 1971, to provide: <br />8.004 Adm~,nistratiye Code. All work done pursuant to the <br />structural specialty code, e~,ectrical specialty code, <br />plumbing specialty code, mechanical ~heating~ specialty code, <br />and uniform swimming pool code com~enced after July 1, 1980, <br />shall comply with the requirements and procedures of the uni-~ <br />Ordinance -~ 2 <br />
