18~~t2 <br />regulations far conducting its investigations and <br />shall render alb, decis.~ons and findings in writing to <br />the building official with a duplicate copy to the <br />appellant. <br />(4~ Section 205 - Violations, is hereby deleted. <br />[5~ Section 206 ~- Numbering of Structures and Premises, <br />is hereby added to provide: <br />Section 206 - Numbering of structures and premises. <br />All numbering of structures and premises shall be done <br />under the direction of the building official according <br />to the fallowing system: <br />~,..a} The numbering of dwellings and business build- <br />ings shall be done by providing 100 numbers in each block. <br />On streets running east and west, the odd numbers shall <br />be on the north side of the street, and the even numbers <br />on the south side of the street. On streets running <br />north and south, the add numbers shall be on the east <br />side of the street, and the even numbers on the west <br />side of the street. <br />~:b} All numbers used on dwellings and business <br />buildings shall be not less than 2" in height and shall <br />have proportionate width. <br />(.c} No owner, agent, ar other person having control <br />of a dwelling or business building shall refuse or neg- <br />lect to permanently number the same prior to the request <br />for a final building inspection required by Chapter S of <br />the Eugene Code, 1971. <br />~d~ Numbering shall be temporarily installed in <br />compliance with subsections Via} and . fib} of this section, <br />on any construction site or upon any structure under <br />construction prior to any call far an inspection requir- <br />ed by Chapter $ of the Eugene Code, 1971. <br />~_e~. Dwellings and business buildings in annexed <br />areas shall be numbered in accordance with subsections <br />~wa~ and ~b}_ of this section and to generally conform to <br />the city's block numbering system. <br />~f}. No owner, agent, or other person having can-- <br />trol of an existing dwelling or business building shall <br />refuse or neglect to number the same within thirty X30} <br />days after being notified in writing to do so by the <br />building official. Numbering shall comply with subsec-~ <br />tions ~.a~. and fib} of this section. <br />~6 ~~ Subsection 301 ~.b} - Exempt Work, is hereby amended <br />by adding a paragraph thereto, to provide: <br />Ordinary maintenance and repairs which do not vio- <br />late the Eugene Code, 1971 may be made without applica- <br />tion or permit, pro~rided the repairs do not include any <br />cutting of any wall, partition, or portion thereof; any <br />removal or cutting o~ a structural member ar bearing <br />support; any rema~ral ar change of a required exit; the <br />rearrangement of parts of a structure that affect exit <br />requirements; any~additon to, alteration of, replace- <br />Ordinance - 9 <br />
