12. Section 307.1 of the OFC is amended to provide. <br />307.1 General. open burning is not allowed. <br />EXCEPTIONS: <br />1. Fires set and maintained for fire f ghting training or training fire protection <br />personnel. <br />2. Fires set and maintained for abating, alleviating or removing a fire hazard <br />if authorized by written permit of the fire marshal. <br />3. outdoor recreation fires used for cooking with the fire in a fireplace, <br />barbecue set, or an outdoor fire used for cooking only <br />4. Recreation fires in an approved campsite in fire pits provided for the <br />campsite. <br />5. As permitted by Lane Regional Pollution Authority and Section 6.200 of <br />the Eugene Code, 1971. <br />13. Section 901.6 of the OFC is amended to provide: <br />901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing <br />systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all time, and shall be <br />replaced or repaired where defective. Nonrequired fire protection systems and <br />equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. All inspections, <br />testing and maintenance shall be completed by a qualified person or company. <br />14. Section 901.6.2 of the OFC is amended to provide. <br />90 1.6.2 Records. Records of all system inspections, tests, and maintenance required by <br />the referenced standards shall be maintained on the premises for a minimum of 3 <br />years and service contractors shall send reports of inspections and tests to the City <br />of Eugene Fire Prevention section within 30 days of performing the inspection <br />and test. <br />15. Section 2304 of the OFC is amended by adding subsection 2304.3, to provide: <br />23043 Buildings not intended for high piled storage. A building or portion of a <br />building with a ceiling height capable of high piled storage but which the owner <br />and/or occupant does not desire to have it designed, constructed or used for high - <br />pile storage shall comply with the following: <br />1. Provide a letter to the fire code official stating they will not allow high- <br />piled storage to occur within the building or portion of the building and <br />agreeing to upgrade the building or portion of the building as necessary if <br />Administrative order - Page 7 of 9 <br />
