This meeti~ is called for ti~e puz'pose of receiving and consi(tering bids for the construction .of ~ sewe~, on Eighth Avenue from the ~{ill race East to the right-of-way of the O~egon & C~lifornia Railz, oad Oo~npa~ty; and for the purpose of letti~ a contract for the construction of s~id sewer as the Council shall determine, Dated this 3Oth d~y of April, 1913. Yoran, ~.~'~yor. ~ Present Councilmen Hensill, Johnson, Koppe, ~055n~phey, Doff, Bell, Bean and Striker. The purpose of the call for ti~e special meeting was read and the bids .. for the construction of a sewer on East Eighth Street from a point approximately fifty feet east of the Mill.~ace east to the westerly line of the Southern Pacific Right-of-'~y were opened by the Sewer Co~nitt.ee, and ttle Co~ittee by Chai~.%an Bell reeontmended to the Council that the bid of Applewhite & Stien was the lowest ~nd beso bid and thst the sa. me be accepted, and the contract awarded to tiles in accordance with their bid and tl~e plans and specifications of the work. Mr. Johnson moved that the report of the eom~nittee be adopted, ~nd that the contract be awarded to Applewhite & Stien up~on the fili~ of the proper bond and si~33~ing of the contract. ~otion was seconded by }~{r. Hensill and ear~ied. Motion was made, seconded and carried that tt~e amount of tt~e bond be fixed on motion the~ Council adjourned, . ~ity Recorde~'.
