Couucilman ~c.Hurphey advise¢t the purchase of a street flust~sr at ti~is time, as owing to the m~achine having been stripped in a ear lot and at this time the eharge'~ of ,~to.~q~': O0 could., be saved to ti~e City by arrangement, witl~ the Agent for the fflusher. .......... Councilman.Dell opposed tt~e purchase of the flusher at this t~r~.e', ,' althou~j~ I favoring, tho f!us!ler, ._~cting on the opinion that ti~e .sewers a-~ the present ti~ne a.~e inadequate to take care of the street flushings. Councilman ~{o~urphey moved that the City order ti~e flusher at this time at a price of $1025 F. 0. B. Portland. second to ti~e motion. Ti~e general sense of tt~e Compel! expressed in regard to a street flUsher was that .the City ~hould purchase a street flusher as soon as thecond_tions~ will Warrant but that ne.action should be taken just at this time. Counci/~nan Bell racy. ed that the Recorder instz~uct tt~e City Treasurer to forward the interest for six montt~s due June l, 1913, on ti~e ~)130,000.00 Refunding Warrant Bonds, so that ti~e same will be at the Fiscal Agency in ti~ue to meet the coupons when.due; and that the__Co~mcil will draw a warrant in pa~n.~ent of tl~e same upon the Interest on Bond & War~'ant Debt Fund at its regk~!ar meeting on ~{ay 28, 1913. was seconded by_llr, tiensill and carried. 0n motion_the Cotmei! adjourned.
