7600 <br /> <br />NOVP3~BER 16, 191W. <br /> <br /> ~% Ordi~nee levying assessments for tt~e construction of ~ sewer in the <br /> <br />City of Eugene in the ~lley between Olive Street and Ch~rnelton Street from <br />I~ou~teenth Avenue to Seventeenth Avenue.was read.the~first time and laid over. <br /> <br /> Au Ordinance levying assessments for the.const~uletion of ~ sewer in the <br />City of k~gene between Washington Street and Jefferson Street from Twenty-second <br />Avenue to Nineteenth Avenue was read the first time and laid over. <br /> <br /> Au 0rdin~nce levying assessments, for the construction of a sewer in the <br />City of Eugene in the alley between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue from the West <br />line of Blair Boulevard to connect with tke trunk sewer in the center of Van <br />Buren Street was re~d the first time and laid over. <br /> <br /> Motion was me~ie, seconded and carried directing the Engineer to prepare <br />a plat to show the proposed widening of Eighth Avenue from Charnelton Street to <br />Blair Boulevard. <br /> <br /> A Resolution declaring the intention of the Council to open and extend <br />West Tenth Avenue f~om.Van Buren Street West llk feet more or less, ~nd directing <br />the 0ity Engineer to ~ke aud file written survey, report and plat of same was <br />read, a~d a motion was m~de, seconded and carried to ~dopt the same. <br /> <br /> Mayo~ Yoran re-~ppointed on the Library Board, Mrs. Minnie Washburne, <br />Ray Goodrich'and R. S. Hamilton, whose terms had expired. Motion was m~de, <br />seconded and carried that the Council confirm the l.~ayor's appointments, <br /> <br /> The 5'ire & V~ater Committee recommended the granting of the pet'ition fox' <br />a str. eet light at Eleventh'and Chambers Streets. On motion' the recommendation <br />was ~dopted, <br /> <br /> Motion was m~de, seconded and carried authorizing the Police Conuni~tee <br />to employ ~r. Cole for one month to look after dogs and ~s ~uard for Magrants <br />working on the streets. ~ <br /> <br /> Motion was m~de, seconded and. carried that the Council adjourn to meet <br />l~ovember 23, 191~, at 7:30' o'clock P.
