Councilman I~(cM~trphey moved tt~at the objections <br /> <br />be overruled and that the report be adopted by the Council and the Attorney instructed <br /> <br />to bring in an 0rdinanee. This motion was withdrawn and Councilman I~{cMurphey moved <br />that further consideration of the report of viewers and objections thereto in the <br /> <br />matter of the opening _of Seventeenth Avenue be heard at a meeting of the Cotmeil to <br /> <br />be held on January [~, !~15, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. <br /> <br />Tile motion was seconded and <br /> <br />the ayes and nays were called; Cotmcil~aen voting aye Jolmson, Parks, Mc~.~urpl~ey, <br /> <br />Bo~i~e, Bell, Devereaux, Beytien and Goodpasture, nay none. }~otion was deelaF.e_t! ..... <br /> <br />carried and so ordered. <br /> <br />An Ordinance %evying asses.mments for the c'onstruction of a .sewer lateral in <br /> <br />the Oity of Eugene in the alley between Tenth Avenue and Eleventh Avenue from the <br /> <br />Polk Street main to A~lmaden Street was read. th.e second tim~, and this being the time <br /> <br />fo? hearing objections, objections were called for and none t~eard, and none having <br /> <br />been filed the 0rdinan~e was read the thivd time and placed upon its passage. <br /> <br />Councilmen voting aye 8, nay none. <br /> <br />The Ordinance was declared passed and <br /> <br />n~bered #1677 .... <br /> <br /> An Ordinance to amend Section ~ of Ordinance No. 762 which is entitled: <br /> <br />'"An Ordinance licensing, taxing and regulating certain businesses, callings and <br /> <br />employments in the City of Eugene, and re[~lating the manner of issui~g such licenses" <br />was read and passed i~s second and third readings by title under suspension of the <br /> <br />rule and was placed upon its final passage. <br /> <br />Councilmen voting aye 8, nay none. <br /> <br />The ordinance was declared passed and numbered ~/1678. <br /> <br />The I~inance Co~m~aittee by Chairman Devereaux reconu.~ended that the bill 9f the <br /> <br />Warren Construction Ce. in the sum of $277.~W for maintenance of Will~nette Street <br /> <br />pavement for the year_1913,' be allowed and a warrant drawn on the Road & Street <br /> <br />Fund. Motion was m~de and seconded that the recon~endation be adopted.
