t~EBRUARY 15, 1915. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented:. <br /> <br />Interest on Bond & '~arrant Debt Fund, Frar~< Reisner, Treas., to p~y 6 <br /> <br />months' interest on $183,500 Sewer Bonds $k,587.50, Series "J" Improvement <br /> <br />~nd, ~rank Reisner, Treas., to pay 6 months' interest on $10,300 Series "J" <br /> <br />Improvement Bonds $309.00, General I,~und, G. F. Skipworth to pay for brief <br /> <br />in the Ornamental Lamp Fost suit ~17.00 and ?. ~. Collier, Atty., rebate <br /> <br />of dray licenses $22.65. ~.{otion was made and seconded that said bills be <br /> <br />allowed and warrants drays% in pay~ent of same. The ~$yes and n~ys were <br /> <br />called; Councilmen voting aye Johnson, Parks, ~{cl~.~urphey, Bo~e, Devereaux, <br /> <br />Beytien and Goodpasture, nay none, absent Bell. ~(otion was declared car- <br /> <br />tied and so ordered. <br /> <br /> An 0rdinanee to prohibit minors from frequenting billiard rooms, <br /> <br />pool rooms, eard rooms, and other places where games of chance are played, <br />and from playing gaines of chance, fixing the penalty therefor, and repealiP~ <br />all acts in conflict therewith mepo~ted by Police Co]m~ittee with recommenda- <br />tion that it do pass. The Ordinance passed its second and third readings <br />by title and was placed upon its final passage. Councilmen voting aye 7, <br />nay none, absent Bell. The Ordinance was declared passed and n%u~bered #1692 <br /> <br /> An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction of a board <br />sidewalk abutting the property of Charles }~. Stevens described in Section <br />2 Of this Ordinance was presented, and due notice of hearing of objections <br /> <br />having been given, objections were called For and none heard, ~nd none having <br /> <br />been filed, tt~e Ordinance passed its second and third readings and was <br /> <br />placed upon its final passage., Councilmen voting aye 7, nay none, absent <br /> <br />Bell. The Ordinance was declared passed and nu]nbered #1693. <br /> <br /> An 0rdinance levying assessments for the improvement of Kincaid <br /> <br />Street from the South line of Thirteenth Avenue to the South line of <br /> <br />Pifteenth Avenue in the ~ity of Eugene was read andlaid over. <br /> <br /> In the matter of the opening and' extension of Eighth Avenue West <br /> <br />from the West line of Van Buren Stree~ to the center line.of Chambers <br /> <br />Street or ¥~est City Limits in tt~e City of Eugene, due notice of the consid- <br /> <br />oration of this report at this time having been given and no objections having <br /> <br />been filed to said report of viewers, objections were called for and no <br />objections being made, a motion was made and seconded that the Council finds <br /> <br />and determines that the repor~ of viewers is fair and reasonable and just <br /> <br />in all respects and that the CounCil.adopt said report and that the City <br /> <br /> <br />
