NOV]~BER 2c3, 1915. <br /> <br /> Bids for the g~ading and L-~avelling or'Tenth Avenue from Van Buren <br /> <br />Street to Polk Street under Ordinance No. 1809'were opened and considered at <br />this time, and a motion was made, seconded and carried that the Council finds <br />and determines that the bid of A. C. Mathews is the lowest ~and best bid for the <br />performance of said work. and that the contract be awarded to him in accordance <br />with his bid and the ~{~yor and Recorder instructed to sign the same in behalf <br />of the <br /> <br /> Motion was made, seconded and carried that the City Attorney be instructed <br />to prepare necessary Resolution and Act for the purpose of submitting to the <br />voters at the regular election to be held in the City of El~gene the first <br />in April, lgl6, a measure proposing the authorization of additional City tax <br />levies sufficient to take care of the expense of water and light cons~nned by the <br />City. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance fixing the annual tax levy for the City of Eugene was <br /> <br />read an(.~ pas:~ed its second and third readings by title under suspension of the <br />rule and was placed upon'its final passage. Councilnen voting aye 6, nay none, <br />absent Eoppe and ]~(osher.
