Present Councilmen Pa:rks, Koppe, Spencer, Mosher, <br />-Goodpastu~e, and Spangler; absent Polders and Devereaux. <br /> <br /> A request of Clarence H. Green to make repairs on building at 516 <br /> ~lllam. ette Street was referred to the Fi~,e & Water Committee with power <br /> to act. <br /> <br /> A petition to pave Ferry Street from Eighth Street north to the rail- <br /> road 'track a width of 2k feet with 6 inch concrete pavement was read and re- <br /> ferPed, to the Street Committee for a report. <br /> <br /> Petition of L. Bonney for the position o.f Found Master was referred <br /> to the Police Committee. <br /> <br /> Petition fop the installation of three street lights on the block <br /> <br /> where the High School is located was referred to. the Fire & Water Conu~ittee. <br /> A~ this time Councilman Devereaux appear'ed in Council. <br /> <br /> The annual report of the City Treasurer 'was presented and placed on <br /> <br />file. <br /> <br /> Bill of Fred G. Stiokels, Treasurer, for. 6 months interest on Series <br /> <br /> "N" Street Improvement Bonds, amounting to $k20.00, and bill of G. E. James <br /> for 15 nigt~ts work in April as policeman, amounting to $37.50, were recommended <br /> fo~ p~yment on the Improvement Bond Interest Fund and General Fund respectively. <br /> Notion was made and seconded to allow the bills. The ~yes and nays were <br /> called;- Councilmen voting aye 7, n~y none, absent Polders. Motion was <br /> <br />· declared carried and so ordered. <br /> <br /> Motion was made, seconded and carried that the request of Councilman <br /> Polders fop a sixty d~ys leave of absence from Council be .granted. <br /> <br /> A eom.~unieation from Geo. E. Boos to the Mayor asking him to appoint <br /> <br /> two delegates to the T~i-States Good Roads Association Convention in Medford, <br /> May 16th and 17th, was read, and Mayo~ Peterson stated that he would appoint <br /> suitable representatives should any one desire to attend. <br /> <br /> The Reoo~de~ presented the request of llrs. Nathews that the alley <br /> between Olive and Charnelton Streets f~.om Ninth Avenue no~th be restored to <br /> the condition in which it was before the laying of sewex-. Matter was <br /> referred to the Street Committee. <br /> <br /> The Recorder also presented the matter of form and method of handling <br /> requisitions, which was referred to the Finance Committee, Attorney and Reeorde~. <br /> <br /> <br />
