Motion was made, <br /> <br />seconded and carried to adopt the recommendation. <br /> <br /> Petitions for street lights at the intersection of Twentiett~ Avenue <br />and Lincoln Street, and at the intersection of West Fourth Avenue and Monroe <br />Street were referred to the ~ire & Water Committee. <br /> <br /> Petition to the 0ity of Eugene to insert in contracts minimum w~ge <br />scale of $2.25 per eight hour a day was referred to the Ju£~eiary Committee <br />and Oity Attorney. <br /> <br /> Petition for the paving of Alder Street from 13th Street South to <br />City Limits, and a petition for the paving of Alder Street from Ninth Street <br />to Millrace were read and referred to the Street Committee. <br /> <br /> Petition requesting the Council not to pave Ferry Street from Ninth <br />Avenue to S. P. R. R. during 1915 was placed on file. <br /> <br /> 'Report of Frank Reisner as 0ity Treasurer up to April 12, 1915, was <br />referred to the ~inance Oommittee. <br /> <br /> In the matter of the opening ~nd extension of Tenth Avenue from <br /> <br />Van B~u'en Street West ll~ feet, due notice having been given of the con- <br />sideration of viewers' report thereon at this time, objections to said viewers' <br />repo~t were cmlled for and none offered excepting the written objection of <br /> <br />J. I. Dirlckson thereto which was read and referred together with the viewers' <br />report to the Street Committee ~nd Oity Attorney, and a motion was made, <br />seconded and carried that the consideration of said repo~t and objections <br />thereto be continued until May 10, 1915, at 7:30 o'clock P.
