At this time Councilman C. ?. Devereaux appeared in Council meeting. <br /> <br /> An old assessment against the property of Rockwell Abbey at Seventk and <br />High Streets for a sewer in which he requested that the lien be cancelled as un- <br />lawfully levied was on motion referred to the Sewer Committee and City Attorney <br />for investigation and report. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance providing for the construction and erection of an ornamental <br /> <br />street Lighting System on both sides of Willamette Street, between the South <br />line of Eleventh Avenue and the North line of Thirteenth Avenue in the City of <br /> <br />Eugene, a,nd to assess the costs thereof against the property abutting said street <br />be'~ween said points was read the second time and due notice having been given <br />that objections to the proposed 0rdin~nce and lighting system would be heard <br />at this time, objections were called for and none offered ami none having been <br />filed, the Ordinance was, upon motion seconded and carried, read the third time <br />and declared upon its final p~ssage. The 0rdinmnce was declared passed and n~,bered #lTl1. <br /> <br />An Ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of Forty Thousand <br /> <br />($kO,O00.O0) Dollars of the honds of the Oity of Eugene, for the pumpose of put- <br /> <br />chasing the real property and building known as the Brick High School Building, <br /> <br />fop City Hall purposes was read and passed its second and third readings by <br />title under suspension of the rule and was placed upon 'its final passage. <br /> <br />Councilmen voting aye 8, nay none. The Ordinance was declared passed and <br /> <br />numbered #1712. <br /> <br />An0rdinance imposing a license tax upon dogs, providing for its <br /> <br />collection, prohibiting dogs from running at large in the 0ity of Eugene without <br /> <br /> <br />
