256 ' <br /> <br />An Ordinance levying assessments for the improvement of Ferry Street from <br /> <br />the north side of 8th Ave. East to a line parallel with and 30 feet distant <br /> <br />from the center line of the main track of the Oregon & California Railroad <br /> <br />was read the first time and laid over. <br /> <br /> Bids for the printing of the City Charter were opened and considered, <br />and a motion was made and seconded that the bid of Yoran Printing House, which <br /> <br />bid was 93] per page for 500 copies, being the lowest anti best bid, be <br /> <br />accepted. ]~otion was carried. <br /> <br /> The following bills were recommended for payment by the Finance Conv.~ittee: <br /> <br />E. O0 <br /> <br />Notion was nu~de and seconded that said bills be allowed and war'rants drawn on the <br />respective funds in payment of the same. The ayes and nays~were called; <br />Councilmen voting aye 5, nay none, absent Polders, Devereaux and NoSher. <br />Notion was declared carried and so ordered. <br /> <br /> Councilman Parks stated that the Sewer Dept. needed 500 feet of old <br /> <br />hose, and as the Fire Dept. was in need of new hose they would like to bu~V <br />the~old hose from the Fire Dept. ~tter was referred to the Fire & Water <br />and Sewer Committees. <br /> <br /> Request of Councilman ~osher for leave of absence from the regular <br />September meeting was on motion &~anted. <br /> <br /> Notion was made and seconded that Councilman Polders be g~anted an <br />additional leave of absence for a period of sixty days. <br /> <br /> On motion the Council adjourned. <br /> <br />City Recorder. <br /> <br /> <br />
