NOVE~[BER 5, 1-~17. <br /> <br /> Council Chambers, k~gene, Oregon, November 5, 1917. <br /> <br /> Council met pursuant to adJour~unent of October 22nd, and was called <br /> <br /> o <br /> <br />to order by Mayor Peterson. Present Councilmen Polders, Parks, Koppe, <br /> <br />Spencer and Goodpasture; absent Devereaux, ~,{oshe'r and Spangler. <br /> <br />~ Bid of A. C. }~athe~s for the.~macadamizing of Potter Street from <br />25th Avenue south to the south side .of 28th AveNue, and 28th Avenue from <br /> <br />Potter Street east to the west line of University Street, which was the only <br />bid received, was opened and read and referred to the Street Committee. <br /> <br /> The request of A. D. Ball for permission to construct a corrugated <br /> <br />iron warehouse in the rear of the Gray Building on Ninth Avenue East was <br />referred to the ~lre & Water Committee wi~h power to act. <br /> <br />At this time Councilman Spangler appearec~ in Council. <br /> <br />~"~ The Street Committee recommended that the~ bid of A. C. Mathews for <br />'the macadamizing of Potter Street from 25th Avenue south to the south side <br /> <br /> of 28th Avenue, and 28th Avenue from Potter Street east to the west line of <br /> University Street be accepted, and contract awarded to him in accordance <br /> with said bid, and the ~{ayor and Recorder authorized to sign the contract; <br /> the ~&%yor to ~pprove the contractor's bond. Eotion was made, seconded <br /> <br />and carried to adopt the recom~.endmtion. <br /> <br /> An old bill of the Linde Air Products Co. for $2.50 was referred to <br /> <br />the Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> Councilman Spar~{ler asked the City to endorse the work of the Armenian <br /> <br />Relief Fund. Same was referred to the ~ayor and City Attorney. <br /> <br />On motion the Council adjourned. <br /> <br /> ~ity Re~order. <br /> <br /> <br />
