A report of the Street Committee recommending that the Council enter into a contract with the ¥~arren Construction Co. for the repair of all pave- me~ laid by them for the s~u~ of ~1250.00 was read, and a motion was made and seconded te adopt the recom~mendation. The ayes and nays were called, Councilmen voting aye 7, nay none. Eotion was declared carried. The Street Co]m,~ittee presented bids which they had received for the furnishing of l~ber to tt~e City, and also stated that tt~ey had negotiated for the sale of one of the City's street sweepers to the Booth-Kelly Ltu.~ber Co. ~otion was made that the City accept the bid of .the Booth-Kelly Lumber Co. to furnish vertical Aa'ain ltu.~ber to the City at ~12.50 per thousand, and that the City sell tt~e sweeper to them for^S300.00. ~otion was seconded and carried. Request of the Parks-Soults Lumber Co. to install a street scale on Olive Street near Fifth Avenue was considered. Hotion was made, seconded and carried to ~'efer the matter to the Street Com~.~ittee with power to act, also providing that Councilman ~(osher shall act as the tttird member of the Street Co~_%mittee in ti~s matter.
