R~SOLUTION. WHEREAS, on January 21st, 1924, a petition was presented to the Common Council to open 18th Avenue from Jefferson St. West to the City Limits and on that date a resolution was passed declaring it expedient that such street be opened, laid out and established and the City ~gineer empowered and directed to mske a ~urvey of such street and a plat thereof, all of which acts have been done, and the city council did by Ordinance No. '~994 adopt such survey and plat and r~port of the City ~hgtneer, and Fred Fisk, R A McCully and J. W. Hobbs three dlslnter ~sted free holders were appointed as viewers to view such proposed street and m~ke an assessment of damages and benefits aS provlded by Section 4, of Chapter 9, of the Charter of the City of ~gene, all of w~lch acts have been done, and ~he report of said viewers was filed with the City Recorder on June 9 t h, 1924. AND WHE~E~, on July 14th, 1924 the Common Council passed Ordinance No. 4288 adopting the report of such viewers on the opening of such street. AND WHEREAS, the City Recorder did mall by ~egtstered mall, a notice of said proj~osed ~sessment of each of the parties assessed as to benefits over damages and did als~ mail te each of said parties affected a no,lee of damages as assessed and informing' each of Said partle~ his right of appeal to the Cir- cuit/Court within twenty days from the date of the adopting of the report of sBch viewers.
