Jorgenson <br /> Snow and McKy <br /> <br />Said bids were referred to the Street Cmmnittee and City Engi. neer for f~ture <br /> <br />report. <br /> <br /> Bids were opened for the grading of Victoria Heights Blvd. from Maple <br />Street easterly to the south boundary of Victoria HeigHts Addition, as follows: <br /> Earl L McNutt ' $10,010.00 <br />Said bid was referred to the' Street Committee and City 5hglneer for future re port.~. <br /> 9he City ~ngineer presented an estimate due Eugene Sand and Gravel Co., of <br />$267.17 under its contract for grading a~d gravelling the alley between University <br />and Onyx Streets from2 1st to 22nd Avenues. On motion such bill was ordered paid. <br /> <br /> The Health Committee reported on the Jno. Zimmer protests to the smoke stack <br />on tl~e Veltum end Clew pleat, stating such firm is within the Ordinance. 0n motion <br />such report was adopted. <br /> <br /> The Fire and Water Committee reported oa the application of the Llghth~nse <br />Tem~ e for lights in front of such Church, and recommended such matter be held <br />in abeyance for the p~esent amd flied with others being held for wa~t: ofmeans of <br />financing the same at this time. On motion such report was adopted. <br /> <br /> The report of the Viewers for the openingof the alley between Wlllmm tie <br />and Olive Sis; north from 13th Avenue was, on motion, referred back to the viewers <br />for correction. <br /> <br /> Thi~ being the return date ~o hear protests for the prop~ed assessment of <br />private property for the Improving of the alley between Willamette and Olive Sts., <br />from 15th Avenue north, by paving the same, protests were called for. Dr. Cheshire <br />appeared end protested any assessment aEainst his property by reason of his <br />agreement with the city 'to receive no assessment owing to him gi,~ng the alley <br />thru hi~ property which alley is now paved, and for which such assessment is being <br />made. Such matter was satisfactorily explained to him. <br /> <br /> The following resolution was offered and a4opted: <br /> <br />R ES 0 L%~ T I 0 N'. <br /> <br /> Whereas in the opening of LOth Avenus West from Polk Street to Chambers St. <br />Raymond b Perdew was assessed a dez~a~e of $660.00 and a benefit of $25.00,$75,00 <br />and $20. O0 ~o1~ his property taken and benefitted by reason of such opening w~hlch <br />property is described as follows: (metes and boUnds as described in Ordinance.) <br /> And Whereas, the amounts of such benefits have been entered in the Lien <br />Docket of the City. <br /> And Whereas, w~rrants have been drawn to said Raymond L Perdew for the amount <br />of such damage less the amount of said benefits. <br /> <br /> BE IT TNER~09E ~ESOLVED.' <br />That the Recorder and TreaSur6r of the City of Eugene, Oregon, are hereby <br /> <br /> <br />
