<br />Initiate reports, plans, and studies, as needed, to communicate and coordinate proposals, <br /> <br /> <br />priorities, and activities, and collaborate with other organizations and interests on <br />sustainability issues. <br />Serve as primary conduits of information between their agencies and the Consortium. <br /> <br /> <br />Consortium members shall coordinate with Management and Elected Officials of their <br />respective agencies, as appropriate, to ensure that Consortium activities are consistent with <br />Party goals for the Project. <br /> <br />The Consortium is an advisory body and is intended to provide assistance to partner agencies as <br />and when requested and as an adjunct and available resource for on-going mandated projects. <br />Decisions will be in the form of reports and/or proposals to agency staff. The tools and <br />strategies proposed by the Consortium will serve as framework documents to advance the <br />consideration federal Livability Principles by the appropriate implementing agencies. Assistance <br />with communicating to agencies’ boards, commissions, and decision-making bodies will be <br />provided by the Project Manager as requested. <br /> <br />Focus Area Teams. Focus Area Teams may be appointed by the Project Manager or Consortium <br />as needed. At minimum, at least one member of the Steering Committee shall serve on each <br />Focus Area Team. Consortium representatives shall be responsible for communicating Focus <br />Area Team discussions and recommendations to the Steering Committee and Consortium. Each <br />team shall have a facilitator appointed by the Steering Committee who shall be responsible for <br />assisting the team to achieve their common objectives and communicating the progress of the <br />team. <br /> <br />Partners. Partners are non-voting members that have been approved by the Consortium <br />Membership. These entities could include educational, economic, human services, public utility <br />or other agencies such as Lane Community College; Lane Workforce Partnership; Springfield <br />Utility Board; City of Coburg; United Way of Lane County; Travel Lane County; and Springfield <br />and Eugene Chambers of Commerce. Partners may attend and participate in Consortium <br />meetings and be members of teams working on Project tasks. <br /> <br />Stakeholders. Stakeholders are groups identified by the Consortium Membership as <br />representing varied disciplines, such as (but not limited to) housing, educational, economic, <br />human services, public utility or other boards, commissions, and committees. Stakeholders <br />may attend and participate in Steering Committee meetings at the discretion of the Consortium <br />members. <br />VI.Decision-Making <br /> <br />Steering Committee Decision-Making <br />Steering Committee decisions will be in the form of reports and/or proposals to agency staff. <br />The Committee will use a consensus decision-making process and will foster mutual respect <br />and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
