fill is typically achieved by hiring an applicant at a lower pay range than the one <br />assigned to the vacant position. This is generally done by assigning the employee to a <br />related classification at a lower level_ <br />Once the employee obtains the qualifications required for the original classification, the <br />supervisor shall conduct a performance review and move the employee to the nearest <br />step of the original classification's pay range that provides an increase of at least 3.75 <br />percent. No reclass review or posting is required. The employee's next review date is <br />12 months later.
