Employees hired on or upust 29, 2003, are eligible for <br />membership in the Oregon Public Service F9ment Plan (OPSRP), unless <br />membership wasilbri@Vjously established in RS. <br />The City contribute9l """ 3 aco <br />111011 1 ,,, eligible employee's salary, as defined by ORS, <br />as the employee's o 1n Or Individual Account (IAP). <br />Consult the PERS weUkte for more information on benefits calculations, retirement <br />ages and other details bijtbp PERS and OPSRP plans. <br />Membership <br />New employees who are already PERS or OPSRP members and are hired into a <br />position that requires at least 600 hours in a calendar year are enrolled immediately <br />upon hire. PERS Tier One or Tier Two members are enrolled in PERS and OPSRP <br />members are enrolled in OPSRP. <br />New employees who are not members of PERS or OPSRP when hired become an <br />OPSRP member after six full calendar months of employment in a position that requires <br />at least 600 hours in a calendar year.
