Modified Work Assignments for Non - Occupational Injuries and Conditions <br />When an employee suffers non - occupational injuries and conditions that prevent <br />him /her from performing some or all of the functions of his /her regular job, the City may <br />offer the employee a temporary or modified work assignment as work availability and <br />business needs allow. Temporary/modified work assignments for employees with <br />occupational injuries and conditions will be given priority over those for employees with <br />non - occupational injuries and conditions. <br />A temporary/modified work assignment is one other than the employee's normal, <br />unrestricted duties.
