Regular, full -time employees who are able to work more than 20 hours per week but <br />less than a 40 -hour week schedule will have the same health insurance options as part - <br />time employees unless the leave is covered under the Federal Family and Medical <br />Leave Act (FMLA), in which case their benefits will remain unchanged. <br />City-paid health, life, and long -term disability benefits cease at the end of the month in <br />which the employee has exhausted paid leave and is unable to work at least 20 hours <br />per week, unless the leave is covered under FMLA, as mentioned above.
