All absences from work must be accurately reported on your time sheet with the <br />appropriate code. <br />Hourly PaX <br />The hourly rate of pay you receive is based upon your job duties and the type of work you <br />are performing. Your supervisor will inform you what your hourly rate will be. <br />Overtime Pav <br />Overtime is paid in accordance with State and Federal laws. For those employees <br />covered by these laws, you will receive overtime pay for all hours worked over 40 hours <br />in one workweek. The work week for all employees is Sunday 12:01 a.m. through <br />Saturday 12:00 p.m. <br />Holidays <br />Temporary employees do not receive any additional pay if required to work on a holiday. <br />Pay Dav <br />Employees are generally paid every other Friday. If the normal pay day falls on a <br />holiday, pay day will be on Payroll's last workday preceding the normal pay day. <br />Personnel File <br />Human Resources maintains the official personnel file for each employee. Departments <br />or divisions may also create and maintain employee files which contain duplicates of <br />items in your personnel file. Supervisors may also keep a separate working file to assist <br />them in monitoring performance and completing an evaluation. <br />Access to personnel files is limited to authorized supervisory and management <br />employees, clerical employees responsible for maintaining the files, and City attorneys. <br />Personnel file information is not released to others without the employee's written <br />consent, unless the City is legally required to do so. You have the right to review your <br />personnel file. To do so you should contact Human Resources to make an appointment. <br />You are required to show picture identification before reviewing your personnel file. <br />Emergency Procedures <br />Emergency procedures are activated when the City Manager determines an emergency <br />exists. In an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to maintain City services at <br />a normal level. If the situation is serious enough that operation of these services must be <br />modified to respond to the crisis, employees will be informed as quickly as possible at <br />their work site, by phone and/or through the news media. <br />If City facilities are closed by the City Manager, you will receive your regular <br />compensation. If they remain open but you are unable to come to or remain at work, you <br />will be compensated only for hours actually worked during any emergency period. Ifyou <br />
