i <br />Career <br />Career Development Supervisor <br />Role Career development supervisors support the training and <br />skill- building components of Career Development <br />.Assignments by providing a structured learning <br />environment. <br />Responsibilities Work with HRRS1Recruitment & Selection staff to <br />develop postings that clearly define the duties to be <br />performed and minimum qualifications required. <br />• Develop a selection process that is as inclusive as . <br />possible. Strive . to interview as many qualified <br />applicants as feasible and give constructive feedback to <br />employees not selected. <br />• Establish a written training plan with the employee and <br />provide on -going feedback throughout the assignment. <br />• Provide training and skill - building opportunities. <br />• Complete a written performance evaluation at the <br />conclusion of the assignment. <br />• Support the CDAP as a strategy for achieving <br />affirmative action goals. <br />My leaning toward a new career development plan carne out of necessity after being declared disabled. <br />I'm preparing my resume and building confidence to present my new skills in competition for the job. <br />However the outcome, I know I'm closer to success today because I took career development <br />opportunities that carne my way." <br />- John Kronhohn, Public Works Department <br />(Mbooklet 11199) <br />17 <br />
