Use of City Resources for Charitable and Non - Profit Organizations
The City of Eugene is one of a handful of large employers in the Eugene/Springfield
metro area. As a result, the City workforce is often looked to as a potential resource for
charitable and non - profit fund raising efforts. The City and individual employees must
be careful to avoid the appearance or perception that they are using public funding
inappropriately to benefit individuals and organizations associated with charitable and
non - profit companies.
Memberships
In order to create closer partnerships and networks with the community it may be
advantageous for certain City employees to attend meetin I'and functions of selected
civic, social, and non - profit organizations and in some cas become members of
those groups.
