1. Outside a building; <br />2. At the same grade as the sidewalk or at a location that can be <br />reached by a bike - accessible route; and <br />3. Within a convenient distance of, and clearly visible from the main <br />entrance to the building as determined by the city, but it shall not <br />be farther than the closest automobile parking space (except <br />disabled parking). <br />(b) Short term bicycle parking may project into or be located within a public <br />right -of -way, subject to the city's approval of a revocable permit under <br />Chapter 7 of this code. <br />(c) Shelters for short term bicycle parking shall be provided in the amounts <br />shown in Table 9.6105(4)(c) Required Sheltered Bicycle Parking <br />Spaces. <br />Table 9.6105(4)(c) Required Sheltered Bicycle Parking Spaces <br />Short Term Bicycle Parking Requirement <br />Percentage of Sheltered Spaces <br />5 or fewer <br />No shelter required <br />6 to 10 <br />100% of spaces sheltered <br />11 to 29 <br />50% of spaces sheltered <br />30 or more <br />25% of spaces sheltered <br />(5) Minimum Required Bicycle Parking Spaces. The minimum required <br />number of bicycle parking spaces shall be calculated according to Table <br />9.6105(5) Minimum Required Bicycle Parking Spaces. <br />(6) Autzen Stadium Complex Bicycle Parking Standards. <br />(a) So long as a city- approved intergovernmental agreement incorporating <br />a transportation demand management plan for Autzen Stadium complex <br />is in effect: <br />1. A minimum of 150 permanent bicycle parking spaces are required <br />to be provided to accommodate employees of the Autzen Stadium <br />complex, athletes using the complex, and visitors to the complex. <br />Twenty -five percent (25 %) of those spaces shall be sheltered from <br />precipitation. The permanent bicycle parking spaces shall be <br />provided in a well - lighted, secure location within a convenient <br />distance of a primary employee entrance to either Autzen <br />Stadium, the Casanova Center, or the Moshofsky Center. A <br />secure location is defined as one in which the bicycle parking is <br />clearly visible from employee work areas, or in which the bicycle <br />parking is provided within a lockable room, a lockable bicycle <br />enclosure, or a bicycle locker. Bicycle parking provided in outdoor <br />locations shall not be farther than the closest employee auto <br />parking space (except disabled parking). <br />2. Secured temporary bicycle parking that will accommodate a <br />minimum of 550 temporary bicycle parking spaces is required for <br />each major event occurring within Autzen Stadium to <br />accommodate major stadium event patrons. Temporary bicycle <br />parking shall be provided in temporary attended areas as <br />described in the approved Autzen Stadium transportation demand <br />management plan. <br />(b) If the above referenced intergovernmental agreement is not in effect, the <br />Ordinance - Page 10 of 16 <br />
