PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br /> <br />Recreation Programmer Patty Prather introduced Michael Pence, who led those in <br />attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />2.CEREMONIAL MATTERS <br /> <br /> <br />Terry McDonald, executive director of St. Vincent De Paul Society of Lane County, <br />presented Mayor Piercy with the Green Window Award in recognition of the City’s <br />years of dedication to green practices and policies. <br /> <br />3.PUBLIC FORUM <br /> <br /> <br /> John Brown voiced concern about stormwater and pollutants that go into the river. <br /> Deb Frisch supported Occupy Medical work and noted a need for bathrooms. <br /> Juan Carlos Valle supported Resolution 5073 on immigrant immigration <br /> Ibrahim Mubarak, Portland, supported self-governed homeless camps. <br /> Lisa Fay, Portland, supported the rights of homeless people to be safe and secure. <br /> Sue Sierralupe supported Occupy Medical and bathrooms for the homeless. <br />Thatcher Jones, Portland, supported homeless camps that are safe, and inexpensive. <br />Chris Ellingson, Portland, supported homeless camps like those in Portland. <br />Bob Bussel supported the Immigrant Integration resolution. <br />Brad Gibson, Portland, supported Dignity Village and Opportunity Eugene. <br />Torry Sluder, Portland, supported homeless camps which improve safety for all. <br />Amber Dunks, Portland, supported R2D2 and other homeless camps. <br />James Chastain supported efforts to help the homeless and safe camps. <br />Ptery Lieght supported the homeless and their need to be safe so they can become stable. <br />Mark Hubbell supported the homeless , citing liability, responsibility, and safety. <br />Claudia “Mamachewy,” Portland, supported homeless efforts and safe camps. <br />Leo Rhodes, homeless advocate, supported safe, community-built camps. <br />Maritza Herrera supported the Immigrant Integration Statement of Principles. <br />MINUTES – Eugene City Council November 13, 2012 Page 1 <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> <br />
